FAQ

SHT2002 UTI meter — common questions

What does the SHT2002 UTI meter measure?

In a single operation it measures ullage (liquid level from tank top), oil/water interface level, and cargo temperature, displaying all three on one gas-tight unit.

What tape length does the SHT2002 use?

The SHT2002 is fitted with a 30 m tape, accurate to ±1.5 mm, with metric or inches reading and a minimum detectable liquid depth of 4 mm.

Is the SHT2002 suitable for chemical tankers?

Yes. It is a closed, gas-tight system designed specifically for hydrocarbon and corrosive-liquid applications, including oil and chemical tanker service.

What certifications does the SHT2002 carry?

It carries Ex ia IIB T4 Ga certification (-20°C ≤ Ta ≤ 50°C), with TÜV SÜD testing, Lloyd’s Register type approval and Ex NEPSI certification.

What battery does the SHT2002 require?

A single Duracell MN1604 9V alkaline battery powers the unit.
