Crane Load Test on a Bunkering Vessel – Fujairah Anchorage
Location: Fujairah Anchorage, United Arab Emirates | Al Safwan Marine
A successful crane load test was carried out onboard a bunkering vessel at Fujairah Anchorage to verify the operational safety, structural integrity, and performance reliability of the vessel’s lifting equipment in accordance with standard marine lifting and inspection requirements.
Prior to conducting the load test, a detailed inspection and condition assessment of all cranes were completed to evaluate their maintenance status, operational readiness, and overall safety condition. The inspection process included comprehensive visual examinations, structural checks, operational functionality testing, and verification of critical safety components to ensure the equipment was fully prepared for testing activities.
Crane Details
- Hose Handling Crane – SWL 2 Ton
- Provision Crane – SWL 0.95 Ton
- Engine Room Crane – SWL 1 Ton
During the load testing process, each crane was tested under controlled conditions to confirm safe lifting performance within its designated Safe Working Load (SWL). All cranes demonstrated satisfactory operational performance and were verified to be functioning safely and efficiently within their rated capacities.
Upon successful completion of the testing procedures, certification for the cranes was issued in compliance with applicable marine safety, lifting, and inspection standards.
Routine crane inspection and load testing are essential for maintaining safe lifting operations, minimizing operational risks, protecting onboard personnel, and ensuring continuous compliance across marine and offshore environments.
Committed to ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance in every lifting operation across the marine and offshore industries.
