Where it comes from

The rules themselves, not hearsay.

Lessons are built from IMO resolutions (SOLAS, the LSA and FSS Codes and the circulars behind them), class and flag requirements, manufacturers' guidance and accident reports, and list their sources with links. They were written with the engineers of the Al Safwan Marine group, who carry out this work in UAE ports every day.

Free awareness training. Al Safwan Marine is not an approved training provider, so no certificate is given, and these courses are not a qualification. They don't replace STCW training, manufacturer training or the certification technicians need for this work. The manufacturer's manual and your flag's rules always come first.
