Crane Load Test (Auxiliary Hook & Man-Rider) – Albwardy Damen, Hamriyah
A crane load test was successfully carried out at Sharjah Hamriyah Port, Albwardy Damen Shipyard, United Arab Emirates.
The operation involved Auxiliary Hook and Manrider Mode load testing on a Telescopic Boom Crane with 360° Slewing Capability, verifying structural integrity, operational reliability, and compliance with international lifting safety standards.
LOAD TEST DETAILS
SWL: 6 Ton
Proof Load Applied: 7.5 Ton
Manrider Mode
SWL: 1 Ton
Proof Load Applied: 1.25 Ton
Tested Across All Operating Radii
PRE-INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Prior to load testing, a comprehensive visual inspection of the crane was conducted to evaluate structural condition, lifting components, operational systems, and safety mechanisms.
Following the inspection, both Auxiliary Hook and Manrider Mode load tests were performed to verify safe lifting performance under proof load conditions.
SAFETY FEATURES – MANRIDER MODE
Manrider Mode is designed for the safe lifting and lowering of personnel in high-risk operations, incorporating critical safety systems such as
- Automatic Braking Systems
- Emergency Lowering Capability
- Slack Line Protection
TEST RESULT
The crane successfully passed all load testing procedures and demonstrated reliable performance under the specified loads.
The equipment was confirmed to be in safe working condition.
COMPLIANCE & CERTIFICATION
All inspection and testing activities were conducted in accordance with LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) standards, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized lifting safety practices.
Approval certification was issued upon successful completion of the load test.
