Main Engine Maneuvering System Troubleshooting – Khorfakkan
A successful troubleshooting operation was completed on the Main Engine Electric-Pneumatic Maneuvering System onboard a vessel at Khorfakkan Anchorage.
The system had been experiencing maneuvering issues affecting both Bridge Control and Engine Control Room (ECR) operations. A detailed inspection and system diagnostics were carried out to identify the root cause and restore reliable functionality.
Scope Of Work & Execution
Detailed diagnostics of the Main Engine Maneuvering Control System
- Connection Inspection
Rectification of electrical and pneumatic control circuits
- Control Verification
Signal verification between Bridge and ECR control systems
- Safety & Functional Testing
Validation of maneuvering commands and safety interlocks
- Final Operational Test
Confirmed stable system performance and normal operation
With all systems tested and verified, the Main Engine Maneuvering System is now fully operational, enabling reliable control from both the Bridge and Engine Control Room and ensuring safe vessel maneuvering.
Another marine engineering troubleshooting task successfully completed with precision at Khorfakkan Anchorage.
